Over 300 teachers and school heads gathered at San Felipe Neri Catholic School, Mandaluyong City, to explore the latest updates on the Strengthened Senior High School (SSHS) Curriculum in a professional development session hosted by MaPSA, CEAP NCR, and Rex Education.
DepEd OIC Assistant Secretary Carmelita Oracion and DepEd Director Ma. Guia Del Valle-Ramoso presented the strengthened program, highlighting its two tracks, five streamlined core subjects, and more flexible subject choices designed to align with students’ aspirations and exit plans.
Pilot school representatives shared their experiences, including success stories and implementation challenges, offering practical insights for schools preparing for the nationwide rollout in SY 2026–2027.
To reinforce learning, participants engaged in breakout sessions on Core Learning Areas, fostering focused discussions and deeper understanding of the strengthened curriculum.
This activity equipped educators with the knowledge and tools to effectively implement the updated SSHS program, ensuring students are better prepared for their academic and career pathways.
